The Jays was Highly Commended in the Visitor Experience Category of the Northern Lights Tourism Awards 2003

Alice was voted one of the Top 20 finalists in the "Landlady of the Year" competition with the AA for 1996 and 1997 which involved 3,500 competitors.
In 1999 Alice was awarded by the RAC
